ride here, ride there, ride the #15 everywhere

b52156da-14f4-4b85-8d35-fe158de48a69On September 13th, many of you gathered with your pledges to ride the bus more. The PCNC is here to support you in your pledge! We continue to advocate on your behalf before City Council and Metro Transit, but the best way our community can make an impact is by continuing to ride the #15 bus as often as we can, creating a permanent change in ridership along our portion of the route.

Below you can watch a short video of our last event, and find out who won the transfer raffle prize!

Thanks to everyone who participated in the Bus-to-Market event last month. We packed the bus and had a fun time with our neighbours at the Forum Farmer’s Market. We’d like to make these outings happen more regularly, and have put together a list of Fall Events on the bus route, both outside and inside our community. Please join us and your neighbours at a few of the events listed below. Together we can make a difference!

9:15 – catch the #15 bus leaving York Redoubt
note: due to the holiday, the #15 becomes route #9, which goes directly to Point Pleasant Park with no transfers along the way–easy!

Those affected by proposed changes to Halifax Transit’s Route 15 bus are holding a rally to save the service and increase ridership. This would leave approximately 450-500 households without public transportation.
